There’s a reason your mood instantly improves after you take a walk through the park: Surrounding yourself with nature makes you happier and healthier, according to a recent report published by Friends of the Earth Group.
After researchers at the Institute for European Environmental Policy reviewed more than 200 studies for the report, they concluded that people living close to nature—like trees, parks, and other green spaces—are more active and less likely to be obese or prescribed antidepressants.
