We’re excited to share that Pine Dove Farm is now at peak harvest season – the most productive time of our growing year. Our spring plantings are in full production, and the variety of fresh vegetables available right now is truly impressive.
Our winter carrots are still going strong, providing sweet and crisp roots that stored beautifully during the cooler months. Meanwhile, our spring crops are delivering excellent harvests. The green bean plants are loaded with tender pods, and our squash varieties – yellow, zucchini, and acorn – are producing steadily week after week.
The cucumber vines are thriving and giving us plenty of crisp, fresh cucumbers, while our okra plants continue to produce their distinctive pods. Our bell peppers are coming in at different stages of ripeness, offering a nice range of colors and flavors over the next few weeks, and the eggplants are looking healthy and productive.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting crops nearly ready to join the harvest. Our cherry tomato plants are covered in flowers, and the spaghetti squash vines are also beginning to bloom. Both should be ready for harvest in the coming weeks.
We’re also staying busy with new plantings so our garden can continue to grow! This week, we’ve put sweet potatoes and melons in the ground, setting the stage for a great fall harvest season.
